As an avid makeup lover, I believe it’s important to only really splurge on two things: foundation and concealer. Since those will be doing the grunt work of any application, you want them to be good shit and the right shade which requires going to an actual makeup store where the product will probably be vastly out of your price range. BUT those are the only things I think it’s worth it spend a lot of money on. Anything else, primers, liners, mascara, eyeshadows, brow pencils, etc. can be found for your everyday average prices.
I’m going to link all the products to a couple different places and showcase the prices but most of the things I buy come from: you guessed it! Target.
That’s not the only place but it is a really good place. Another good one that almost everyone goes to is Walmart. They have almost same selections as Target but there prices can actually be cheaper.
First up is something I know you’re all thinking you have to buy really expensive because they are all over social media and you just ‘have to have the latest one!’: eyeshadow palettes. I swear I have a friend who buys the newest/trendiest eyeshadow palette every season like clockwork maybe even every month like it’s a new iPhone update, spending a ridiculous amount of money and even waiting in a long ass line for like 2 hours for them too.
This does not have to be you. These palettes by Maybelline are pretty standard but they have a good amount of shades for the price you’re getting and it covers all the basics.
Moving on to the eyeliners, one of my favorites is this one by Revlon. It has the same consistency of the Stila All Day eyeliner but it’s roughly $16 cheaper.
Now to complete the eye look, you have to have mascara. So my go to inexpensive mascara is always Great Lash by Maybelline. It’s actually an award winning mascara if you didn’t know. It goes on silky with no clumping and gives your lashes that oomph of volume to solidify your look.
Depending on your preference and coloring, blush and bronzer is up to you. If you are in need of a bit of color, then you should try Milani Rose Powder Blush which has a little shimmer to it but is still such a beautiful color. Then for more definition, Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer is the best of the best. It’s smooth like butter and smells freaking amazing.

Finally, my favorite portion of the makeup breakdown: highlighter! You can never really go wrong with any highlighter as long as it’s shimmery enough and you can actually see it. That’s why whenever anyone asks, I always use the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in the shade Precious Petals which is like a really nice rose gold and works on damn near every skin tone.
That’s it for this post! Thank you guys for reading and if you have any suggestions for more inexpensive but still totally worth the money makeup then comment down below. I’d love to hear from you guys!
