Hello earthlings! Today I’m sharing a recipe I concocted that helps me start my mornings and is filled with healthy stuff that keeps your energy up throughout the day. I usually start my mornings with a cup of this tea blend and some of my favorite ingredients with my breakfast before I do anything else.

The lemon and ginger tea I get is from Celestial Seasonings ($2.32) and this can be purchased at your local grocery store but here’s an online link. I get mine from Publix or Winn Dixie. They have some of the best prices!

First things first bitches, you need your favorite go to mug and some water.

Then I usually heat my water up in the microwave instead of boiling it because it’s faster. Eventually I’d really like to get an electric tea kettle because I love me some tea but boiling water is the most boring thing to me. So, I heat up the water for water for about a minute.

Then after it’s done I’ll take it out and put my tea bag in!

This usually sits for a minute or two just to soak and then I’ll take a spoon and squish the tea bag to the side of my mug to really get the juices flowing out before I take my tea bag out.

Then to add some really good ingredients!

First is Apple Cider Vinegar and I know what your thinking, like wtf Darcy that’s vinegar it’s gross and smells too strong BUT it has amazing benefits.

Prevents flu and stomach illness

Dissolves kidney stones

Balances pH balance in the body

Helps relieve heartburn, nausea, acid reflux

Helps relieve asthma and allergies

Helps weight loss by curing appetite and breaking down fat

Helps relieve migraines

Helps relieve sinus pressure and infection

Lowers blood pressure

Reduces cholesterol

Reduces inflammation, and relieves arthritis

Conditions and strengthens hair

Helps reduce/prevent acne

I put 2 teaspoons of the Apple Cider Vinegar in and I miss it together. Now once that’s done I recommend putting in a sweetener because by itself you’d definitely taste the vinegar so I add some add honey but you can add alternatives like agave, cinnamon, maple syrup, etc. Any of these will work for adding some sweetening to the tea. I don’t really have a measurement for how much because it depends on how much you like or not. I usually just drizzle it in there and then taste test until I get the flavor I like.

The final product is really good and I drink it every morning to keep my energy up and curb my appetite because it does make me feel full enough that I don’t need to eat as much throughout the day. I hope you guys like this! Please comment and let me know if you try it or if you wanna see more of these recipes!

xoxo Darcy Mae Modica
